| Julie Combal Creates her work with many thin layers of oil paint which gives transparent
depth. By applying a piece of Gold leaf on the soft floating image, it gives a feel of tension and a point of focus. It can be said that the work is of a high composition. Each work gives the feel of an eternal space which cannot be expressed in words, but makes a viewer feel 'something'. Wax is also used effectively. Wax layer gently wraps the surface but yet also puts a boundary between the viewer and the work itself, which tempts a viewer even more to go in the painting. She will continue her edialogf in and out of the eboundaryf from now on also. |
